It's probably cause it's more interesting that she resisted in this life, and she didn't resist in the last life so he wasn't as interested. or he did want to marry her and take her back but he was planning to have more power in the court first but before that happened she already fell in love with another person and helped him have power but what returned to her was her death and maybe that's why he called her stupid in the last life

I know its been only 3 chapters, but this has been bugging me. Howcome, the lecher/general, who actually succeded in last life, not come for proposing marriage then. Like, how come he suddenly got some sense, just cause she stopped him?
