Ummm but if you read the whole thing he says he didn’t want Shin’s life to be hard, his trauma aside he knew it was a hard thing for ppl in society to accept and he didn’t want Shin’s family and friends to reject Shin because of something he thought “he caused” since Shin also has an “easy path” to take aka dating girls. That type of thinking is quite common esp in more homophobic countries in asia, and also I don’t really think it’s our place to judge the severity of trauma. Sure, he had his sister but parents saying “why our child” and blaming him is pretty heartbreaking. I don’t think one family member accepting it negates others rejecting him. Just my own opinion tho, no hate.

i totally understand but honestly he was so selfish because it is not his decision to choose for shin kuns life and ngl he could’ve atleast given him a chance but he didn’t even bother cuz he “assumed” that it was gonna make shin kuns life difficult but he didn’t even know that shin kun doesn’t care and that it really won’t make his life difficult cuz he seemed pretty open about it

i think it was a mix of thinking that it would be just a “phase” for nogi since he was originally straight, the fear of abandonment, and the fact that he knows how being gay is not widely accepted in society. personally, i think him being so guarded is valid. i’m pretty sure he knows that nogi is serious about him however, he knows that even though they both like each other, actually being together is a whole different story.
