I think it's not only Korean people who do it, almost all of Asia, especially East Asia with their chopsticks. I, myself, also do it sometimes. I'm from Southeast Asia.
Yeah I don't think it's just a Korean thing. I'm from Taiwan and I sometimes use Chopsticks when I don't wanna get my fingers dirty.
