What if Aisha is the reincarnation of that saintess and something will happen if she becomes the saintess? Like from what i recall, the saintess said that she'd come back and sacrifice herself to save people or something. Maybe Aisha's father knew about that from the start and loved his daughter so much that he didn't want to see his daughter sacrifice herself. It could also be that he knew that Aisha will be in pain if she manifests her powers or smth and ofc he doesn't want that. Then, the temple is taking advantage of the father's love to suppress Aisha's powers and be able to continue their evil plans or it could be that they were the ones who notified Aisha's father about Aisha's situation and manipulated him coz honestly, he rlly doesn't look like he wants to harm Aisha. I can see that he loves his daughter very much.
