Rashta is not working only for herself. She has said multiple times that she will do anything possible to keep her baby safe from outside harm, although that also translates to her need to gain more power. Yes, she seduces the king, but that doesn't make her bad. Sovieshit knows that he is being seduced, and he is the one allowing himself to be seduced. Since he knows that she was originally a slave, he should know why she is so desperate and clingy. She has nothing but him right now, and even that is unstable. She is not as helpless as before, but she also still has no one to rely on. She doesn't trust Sovieshit to help her, and so she literally turns to her previous master.
Also, if Rashta is not malevolent towards the empress, will she continue to try and act like they are best buds? She knows that she can't survive in this place if she keeps acting like that, and Navier knows that too.
What I’m saying is that I understand why Rashta acts like that, and, if I were in her stead, it would be perfectly rational for me to act like her too. However, if I were Sovieshit, I wouldn’t act like the mutherfuckin turd of a person like him.
I feel bad for Trashta. She’s a terrible person, but she’s doing this all for her sake and her baby’s sake. She genuinely loves her babies, and she has only ever learned that she has only herself to rely on. She has been mistreated and been taken advantage of multiple times. It is only logical that this is her personality now: paranoid and nervous.
