Iirc, our FL said that Heinrich is from a side family of the Royal family or smth,,, he's not actually supposed to have the right to the throne but he got it because he was smart and threatened the Emperor by mentioning Kathryn.
No heinrich is a Archduke, he is a royal lineage but he isn't a direct royal lineage so he wasn't eligible for the throne (to simplify it he is a distance relative of the royal family)... the reason why he have a chance to be the emperor because he took the emperor government and Kathryn(the person that the emperor loves) as a hostage and threatened the emperor to recognize his family as a direct lineage so he can inherit the throne..
