Same here. Read up on the later story, *just because of Eclis*, because in the manhwa, the way he's portrayed is just... so supremely adorable, he's literally 1000% my pick out of all those guys. The result? I now know that I can keep reading for just a little longer, and then I'll honestly have to drop this. I don't usually do that, and it's a painful decision because of the interesting premise and gorgeous art, but unfortunately, this turned out to be one extremely rare case for me where the upcoming developments of the story are just so diametrically different from my own preference, or *anything* I'd even remotely like to see happen, really, that this would ultimately be just pure torture for me throughout.
╥﹏╥
Also, as for Eclis in particular.. personally, I suspect that one part of the problem could also be that he may have been slightly inaccurately portrayed in the manhwa.. What I mean is, going by his character in the novel, I personally felt that he maybe should have had an at least *slightly* different air about him overall? As it is, he's a literal innocent, ingenuous puppy (seriously, even now, no one can convince me otherwise, and I'm actually good at reading people ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭), and a later change of such magnitude is bound to feel inconsistent and like a forced plot-twist, imho. (Not that it would be ok with me either way, giving him such an awful outcome after everything the poor guy's already been through... (╯°Д °)╯╧╧)
Sorry about the long rant, by the way. But my heart just hurts so much for Eclis and for this beautifully drawn manhwa that I was looking forward to reading so much and now won't be able to enjoy ╥﹏╥
Spoil me plz . Eclise is cute
