In the novel, they didn't have sexual intercurse, but he cheat her in everything but that, dinners, chatting. He was with Lidia having fun while the baby was sick. And the novel tell us the story of them reconciling, and the forgiveness. And how she works in herself as a woman and not just as a mother. It wasn't the best novel, but definitely not this trash.

I seriously don't know which one is worse now... him going out and emotionally cheating her while his kid is sick or the current gabage
I mean... good for her to build herself in the OG novel after all but I could never forgive someone that took that level of "liberty" to have fun while forgetting his own family, this one is also really bad...
At one side we have concrete emotional cheating while she recontructs herself as a person and on the other hand we have "not really" cheating while she keep her main identity as a mother of 5....gods why?
I read the original novel time ago. This adaptation is trash. The original novel involves a betrayal and describe the process of accepting and forgetting. No all this stuff.
