I think thats what must have happened
The female reproductive system is weird thing. As long as it's with in like a 3-5 day period, and at least 2 eggs dropped, she could have had quads and they could have had a different father each. So her mom being the woman she was it's not surprising she had them all during her fertile days.
Do you have to have sex with four dudes almost at the same time for four duded to fight who the father is....
