With like good writing maybe all the characters could’ve been made sympathetic (idk maybe it was like that in the novel?) but the way it has been portrayed in the webtoon from the MC’s perspective, literally none of them are likeable/sympathetic other than the mc. Like I find the ex to be a lil bitch (for how he treated the mc like shit in the beginning, his slapping the mc and his push and pull hypocrisy- not for moving on btw!), the ex’s new lover is a piece of shit (his opportunism and manipulation- there are spoilers in the comments below it you can read them if you want! Add to that his “I wish the mc were dead” bit) and the ML is a pain in the ass who cannot decide for the life in him on whether to treat the mc like a lover or a fucktoy (also possibly married and hence a cheater? Idk spoilers are not clear). Like all of them are flawed individuals but I’ve seen worse characters been made “sympathetic” to the reader by the correct storytelling (maybe multiple perspectives and showing the inner turmoil/conflict of these characters to humanize them a bit more?), however here I just hate everyone other than the MC and want the Mc to get away from there and just heal.
