you should try reading ones with the “shounen ai” tag bcus those are more slow paced and less sex.
yaoi is mostly just sex, its not about the relationship itself. so that’s why there’s a lot of sex (not consensual sex is like normal thing) and they do ‘adult’ talk, maybe ones but then they straight up have sex again lol
so yeah.. i just want you to know that yaoi is not just boy x boy, it has a different meaning when it comes to stories

I read a lot of shonen ai actually hahah but when it comes to yaoi i prefer reading bara (or old yaoi) i think they portray more ‘realistic’ relationships? But i just couldn’t help myself when i saw a buff uke :)

yaoi isn't about sex per se. it's about not shying away from showing the sexual aspects in a relationship. but altogether, it's just as much about the plot and characters as other romance genres. the only difference is that sex is part of the story. but it's not the sole focus or purpose just because it's yaoi. yaoi is just erotic literature with male characters, that's it. erotica is still erotica. and erotica is not porn. PORN is about the sex, erotica is about including sex in a story that has character. yaoi is erotica. yaoi hentai is porn. this manga is yaoi, not yaoi hentai.

yes! there are so many people i saw in the comments of other yaoi mangas who demand "where r the sex scenes! its yaoi!" like... yaoi as a genre is not only about sex scenes, if u all looking for sex then go to the hentai section .. i know some yaois that are full of sex scenes with horrible plot (like this one) but the good ones arent focused on sex only
That's why many people are advocating for people to refer to yaoi/shounen ai as BL instead because apparently those terms are very outdated now and BL is a more broad term.
The art is beautiful the characters are interesting but the whole thing feels rushed
We don’t need a sex scene every chapter, it’d have been better to see them have a normal adult conversation about their anxieties/wants/needs then we could’ve had a confession maybe? And not the marry me kind but the « hey i really like you and i want to get to know you and your son better »
