Why do they have their "family jewels" removed??
I'm not totally sure about that but it's probably because the Eunuch also serve the inner palace, where concubines live. So probably because they want to avoid something unnecessary happened?

Eunuch is someone that has their 'family jewels' aka the balls removed since they were child. That's why, if you look closely, he has no balls and has a small dicc.
Because of the removal, the dicc can't grow, (something like the lack of male hormone). And that's also why his stature is feminine.
