I get what you’re trying to say and that it’s supposed to be lighthearted/jokey but I lowkey hate comments like this. He probably knew in theory but actually doing it is another story. Perhaps he didn’t even know if he was a bottom or top yet. Maybe he only realised he was gay later in life or never wanted to acknowledge it until where this story begins. They left out the chapter with it on mangago but he says he’s never even dated anyone let alone had sex. For example, I’m bi and dating a girl rn but I’ve never had sex with a girl and honestly I’m the same literally googling everything and asking for advice and kinda freaking out. GL and BL and porn doesn’t actually give very helpful information surprise surprise. You “know” but you don’t until you actually have to do it. Just because you know you’re gay doesn’t mean you magically know how to have sex and no one should ever have to feel ashamed about it :/ We all know sex education in schools tends to suck, and more so for gay sex and even more so in Japan so yeah. If I had to do anal I wouldn’t know “how” to do it either because I’ve never had to. Yes, I know in theory what to do, yes I’ve seen it in countless porn and manga/manhwa, but doing it is another thing. When I had sex with a guy for the first time it was even the same. I don’t get when people are like “why did he have to google it lol as if he didn’t know” just because we all read yaoi and are desensitised to it now. Like yeah it’s a cliche yaoi thing and sometimes they are overly innocent and it can be weird. But it’s not like it’s not a totally normal thing to do a bit of research when you’re inexperienced. On another note I was pretty impressed by this manga's representation actually. The fact that he asked his partner for help and they communicated everything to each other was great. The seme even made sure to go slowly at the beginning and ask if he needed water and if it hurt. I want someone to ask me if I need water during/before foreplay ╥﹏╥
Gomen i didn't want to offend anyone(╥﹏╥). As you said Google and stuff doesn't give you all the information and after 500+ mangas/manhwas etc yaoi I've read i only learnt after two specific mangas I've read that they need to "clean" back there and then start the prep. I really didn't want to offend anyone. Even tho im straight and you know i only learnt that stuff through reading it's very rare to read how they actually do it.
