hatoru did love sensei when he thought that he was girl...
so what i think is this:
The moment that was revealed that 'she' was a 'he', hatoru was confused but still loved 'her'. and after time he saw that sensei was serious, so hatoru set his feelings from 'her' to 'him'...
He loved the writer not the actual person.
He was disappointed to find out he was a 'he' but got over that when he saw he was serious about him job
He didnt fall IN love with him until later....
In the first place Yoshitaka raped Hatoru so how could he turn around and love him. I realized many of sensei's manga has rape. I do know if you could love someone who did that to you.
