My best guess is this isn't really about Jace the Uke but making the shit tsundere Duke more hot and heroic.
It's the basic overused plot device/ concept: The more the FL/Uke suffers the more likely the ML/Seme will become more ideal approachable available...
How many times did Bella, Sookie and Elena have to be put into insufferable situations so their emotionally unavailable brooding fuckboys can change for the better???

I know we shouldn't blame the Uke...Rather we can blame the author for even creating such situation/storyline...
Why didn't they think of any safeguards first?
Why does the Uke have suddenly PTSD?
What happened to the originally introduced personality of the Uke?
I think there is an inconsistency about the characterization of the Uke...
Why does the Uke have to endure so much humiliation, assault and rape?
You can explain it however you want but the fact is Uke Jace has taken the complete stereotypical victim role.
From what I remember from the Chinese Raws that I can't find anymore there is gonna be a aristrocratic jealous lady bitch and the Seme Duke becomes more heroic + dominant while the Uke suffers more...
When I started to read this story I thought I would be following the journey of a bold tough calculating commoner smartass who has some vulnerbilities but still tenacious and really seduced the Duke not because he is drunk or drugged...
Instead the author has turned Jace slowly into very weak fragile helpless Damsel stereotype.
Now I wish Jace would be more like Abigail in movie The Favourite 2018.
Jace may not have much power about the circumstances but he should at least have some dignity/proud and control about his own feelings.
