Y'all hating on ray for saying he's relieved... He knew he was being selfish for keeping Ian with him but knew he couldn't let him go... So he's relieved that Ian made the decision for himself rather than staying with Ray in an unhappy life... Ray isn't "happy" Ian left, he's happy Ian might get the life he deserves/ wanted despite it not being with him
