does anyone know that one anime/manga where a dude was either hired for police OR he was just walking by and got caught up in a situation with the police. it wasn’t necessarily the police, but more like a force of the police that took care of yokai or those japanese monsters and such. the mc was able to communicate with the otherworldly beings whereas other humans couldn’t. so he basically acted as a translator. the police force found out about him and decided to hire him, he accepted. one scene was where there was an elevator where people continued to disappear and when they investigated it, they soon found out that it had something to do with pandora’s box. that’s one of the scenes i saw.
