So its kinda like a flashback of like what happened in the original tl where shuli dies before going back in time
All the epilogues are a part of that only i guess they'll continue the new tl in 2nd season

Rn they are having a flashback of the first timeline of when mc died and what happen after her death. It's to show her impact on the characters, since she wasn't able to c it we get too. As for the tríal they let the blond dude go, since it mc fought for him by trying to give her title to him earlier than it should be given. Is that helpful?
