The Kingdom believed that Shuli and Jeremy were secretly lovers, and that's why he went mad after her death, when in fact Jeremy was likely one-sidedly in love with her. Shuli likely had no lovers, and the rumour about her and Jeremy being a couple was false.

Okayy.. only thing I get from this is Noan fell in love at first sight and oh my god how hot he becomes later and if noah fall in love at first sight then noah might already be in love with shuli now in present timeline. so yeah.
