mixed feelings

Yoshizawa's character is a blur between sadistic and manipulative. He "teases" Totoki, but it looks more like a power play of keeping Totoki in a leash. First, taking advantage of Totoki's affections by proposing a play date to test his own sexuality. Second, reverting to friendship after Totoki's reluctance to be kissed at an alley. Third, twisting the situation to make Totoki guilty. Last, dismissing conflict when he is offended or taking it out on Totoki.

Nonetheless, he did give Totoki the opportunuty to make friends, encouraged him to do academically better, and have Totoki share his burden instead of trying to take care of things on his own.

In the end, Yoshizawa's pride must be swelling while Totoki's deflates in comparison.

also, a huge shout out to Yoshizawa's friends who saw Totoki and thought of calling Yoshizawa, the police, and even an ambulance. Like, they hauled in the big guns to make sure that Totoki is safe, Totoki who they've badmouthed earlier. Like, that's the actual character development right there.
