The emperor and the ML are father and son. The ML reminds the emperor of his(the ml’s) mother which is why the ML wears that mask. Whenever the ml isn’t wearing the mask, he looks a lot like his mother. The emperor acts like he misses the ml’s mother but there ml doesn’t believe him. The ml thinks he is disgusting every time the emperor says that stuff to him. The emperor let the ml’s mother die which is why he hates the emperor. (Sorry if this doesn’t make sense. I don’t really remember what happened but I think this is right).
Can someone explain the relationship between emperor and ML? I'm a bit lost on this chapter
