that murderer probably knows that blind guy is not actually blind.
In my experience (I’m not a serial killer I swear) corpses generally don’t start to smell for at least a few hours (in the range of 10-24, sometimes longer depending on certain aspects of the death and the environment around the body) after death. So MC probably wouldn’t have smelled it even if he was that close to it... but the smell of blood definitely would have been overwhelming!!

it seems as if he had killed him the night before or at least a few hours earlier so ya the bloody wound probably would have smelled super gross
the blonde mf stupid asf... even if he did think he was actually blind, a blind person has a way better sense of smell.. he would be able to smell the corpse anyway?!?!!?(corpses begin rotting and releasing gases as soon as 30 mins after death) but he seems insane so he probably did it on purpose...
