You're right. Retiring for most people is all about getting money for their old age. If you're the one who owns the place, though, you can quit working there anytime and still suck just as much money out of it as you want. lol
It's a weird situation. It seems the school is not even accredited. IRL the chairman would be called the Dean, and he'd have all kinds of requirements by law governing how he runs the place, no matter how much money he has tied up in it. Scholarships wouldn't be under his control, either. Those are done by committees and shlt, and again there are laws. IRL he couldn't manipulate students by holding their scholarships over their heads.
