Well.... if we consider the trade of south america and the spanish during this time period then it wouldn't be too far fetched. But for a priest who might have taken an oath of poverty... yes I would say this is a VERY luxurious gift not easily prepared by a struggling church.
It's the catholics, they were never struggling when asskissing the ppl in power. Rather than the price I was wondering if it was probable for a bird from that part of america to be in the hands of the catholic church.
Is it a bit of a reach for some missionaries to have an eagle that originates in america at this time period? Is it a pass or a fail?
