I don't think anyone wanted to hate her. I myself loved her in the beginning as many did and we all were expecting her to have an arc where she learns and does better for herself but she is shown to be very inconsiderate and hurts people, which was fine as long as she went on to learn better but she really doesn't. The author justifies all the harm she causes to people in a kind of it for tat weird justification. Where people are saying that she and Wookyung are the same, neither of them change but still Wookyung is painted as the psycho antagonist while Duna is the mc who survives everything and lives a happy life without changing any of her problematic traits.
