I’m not saying he isn’t an ass but back then kids would be sent to Assinate,kill, rob, or even deliver messages to people. So it was actually pretty reasonable to arrest the kids. And it’s not like he was taking them without reason or treating them badly either. The rebels stopped by the house so it was completely reasonable to suspect the kids of being part of the rebellion.
