I'll give this a grudging five stars and feel some empathy for Kan-chan. Just a little. Maybe. He's still on my list for hurting Yumi. AGHHH. Sensei, why do you make me see things from both sides like this??

maybe it's because it's better to know both sides before we judge someone all people have their reasons

True--but it's tough when you feel pity for someone, but still can't forgive the awful thing they did. >< My yaois are usually more black and white (damn sensei and her wonderful writing!)

I totally get where you're coming from! A decent guy ruined, ruining another beautiful person... Who thankfully got out and saved! And ken Chan found his own too *sigh*

Very true. I haven't read Kan-chan's story yet, but I think this got me really primed for it. I want to see Kan-chan get better and be happy. But I hope sensei doesn't slam us again with a story about the terrible boss man that makes me feel pity of him.

He already said that he's strssed from work so I wasnt surprised. I didnt judge him as an unreasonable abuser, just an abuser. Soo the only thing that touched/surprised me in this backstory is the happiness and the end of it :(

But reality isn’t just b&w. And that’s exactly the reason why this mangaka produces such amazingly authentic stories. The characters are straight out of life. They’re "real". Such people don’t just crawl out of the abyss. They’re made by other people. Everyone has their own story …
