Most likely it is very harada-esque way of story telling. If you try more of her works you will realize she is on the twisted side of the scope. She wrote twisted story not in a way to be fetishizing or glorified, but as it is disturbing. I personally think that most of her work DID intend to make you feel disgusted and squeamish, it'll never try to redeem the bad guy.
I dont think it was made to spread awareness (none of her works does probably), but just plain being disturbing and twisted. She never looks for the good in her twisted character (as u can see how she deals w the ending).
Tl;dr no it's probably not to spread awareness, but it is most definitely not to fetishize or glorify abuse as well. It is plain pure twisted and disturbing material.
(Do hit me up if u r curious about her works)
I personally don't know how to react to this, is it something that is made in a way to spread awareness? or is it some weird fetish the author has? Unless I know their intentions, I don't really have a say it this matter.
