I guess it's because we weren't shown how much work/pressure Jinwoo has. Though personally I can kinda relate to him; getting burnt out from work (well, I'm a student, so not really work), just... makes everything tiring, even having a simple conversation with anyone is draining my already drained energy and I just want to take a rest. I suppose that's what happened with Jinwoo.
(Then again I have worsening anxiety so that adds extra to my burnout)
Imo, as others are saying more reassurance or talking it out will be better, i feel like there wasn't a need. Both of them realised their feelings for each other as they spent time with the past version of each other. Though, one thing candy was wondering: how did jin woo even suddenly lost interest and fade away like that? I'm wondering it too. Tiredness? Stress? Boredom? Those reasons seems kinda lack luster to me. Candy is the the most pitiful tbh hahaha he invested so much into the rs.
