And I'm really not sure about this, but I THINK that the plan was to get married to the prince, and after 3 years of not producing an heir, they'll blame it on his weak body (not realizing it's really cause he's not an omega and can't get pregnant) and the imperial family will break off the marriage. By doing so they'll have to compensate the father, which was his plan all along.
