I agree. That went out the window a some chapters ago. The mafia boss is more of a yandere, which really means he'll do ANYTHING to keep him at his side. Even if it means breaking his legs and chaining him to his bed....
He should choke him without squeezing his windpipe, what if he suddenly crush it? I'm pretty sure the mafia boss will go too far in the end, and end up breaking him beyond repair. I really doubt this has a happy ending.
On another note, they do look hot no matter how messed up their relationship is.
