HELL Y3AH!!!
My wife just told me she read that Solo Leveling is getting a video game and a show adaptation (not sure if it specifically said anime or not). Buckle up, Solo Leveling gonna be the next big thing!
It's not anime, unfortunately. Anime is the one thing everyone asked for - and also the one thing they aren't doing ╮(￣▽￣)╭
From what I've read, it's supposed to be live action, possibly by a US company, even. I'm really worried about this part, considering how we know from experience that these tend to go horribly, terrifyingly wrong 95% of the time. Especially with a story like Solo Leveling, I'm afraid they would not only need a good cast (which imho is very often a huge problem with any anime / manga adaptations), but a pretty big budget (which I'm afraid is unlikely) on top of it to actually, realistically make it any good.
Sorry if I sound negative. Going by previous experience, I'm just really worried that they'll jump the gun totally unprepared and do a half-assed job as is so often the case with these adaptations, in which case it might actually end up doing the series a huge disservice instead. Personally, I'd really prefer no live adaptation now and maybe eventually getting an anime to Solo Leveling's good name being ruined like that (╥ ╥)
