They're not but look at them imprinting, marking, and eye colour changing. Werewolves do that. They also have Alphas, Omegas, Betas, and all those greek letter things. Except for shapeshifting and men getting pregnant too they're basically the same lol

I see where you're coming from because it's true that they share a fair number of similarities but the whole point of being a werewolf is to be able to shape shift. In Omegaverse we only have the ''domination play''. I do agree that Omegaverse comes from the werewolves stories dynamics but it's not the same
I've read a lot of omegaverse but I still can't let go of the fact that they're werewolves but they can't shapeshift into a wolf.
