If i remember correctly, Seme ACCIDENTALLY killed Uke's Uncle(?) so seme met uke but not vice versa. At the funeral, so when they meet on early chapters we read that seme remembers uke cause his familiar. If my understand is correct, Seme got interested at uke, when uke is still fighting him even though he is disable and doesn't gave up
