It's because she feel frustrated and the pressure to be a greatest artist, because her brother work so hard, I think she said she hates him beciase it's the opposite

she knows her dream of drawing will end. Her brother supported her so much, making her believe that she can draw as long as she wants. But she knows she can't, and she "hates" him for making her believe that she can have her dream of drawing.
