I agree with you, thats exactly my thoughts too. But, there are also these MCs that had a bad memories about their original world. So they think, 'ah, maybe it is better this way.' i understand these MCs, but i also had the same thought as you!
After reading this story and seeing the mc's thought process it feels like the other isekais are way too childish and the mcs are shallow who are indecisive, never pursuing their initial goal. They don't even miss their original world and too easygoing about the whole thing. Even the mcs who are portrayed as smart ends up dumb after couple of chapters and I hate those goody two shoes 'villianesses'.
In my opinion this mahwa is one of the best isekais with realistic and strong mc. And after reading about the ending I love it even more!
