You guys should consider the fact that none of them are her real daughters. She’s just a transmigrated lady from other world, suddenly having three daughters here. She’s memories of the original Mil but they still aren’t hers.
Yet, she’s doing a pretty good job on taking good care of all three of them. I understand Iris’s feeling, and i also think Mil’s explanation is reasonable. Although Mil is weirdly dead set on Ashley being THE Cinderella, she’s not giving her more attention for that reason.
Ashley had no proper brought up unlike Iris and Lily, that’s why she was given more attention so that she will be equally as mature as Iris and Lily for her age.
I think she’s treating all of them fairly and should be given the best mom award next to ‘Shuli’ :’)

I love that this story is given more thought and consideration of each characters. Each one of them are coming to life and are not just being the trope characters that are 2 dimensional. There is development, Talent, ingenuity, and the thought of developing 3 girls to live in the world that treat women as second-class. The stepmother is amazing. She is becoming such a pillar of strength and you see her grow to love her three daughters equally and doing a bang up job at it. I have to admit, when Lily said she just wants a life of art, drawing and peace, I wanted to cry. That is so REAL! That is so each of us, when we draw and paint and are just content doing that alone. AND Ashley... she tries her best and instead of a magic fairy making the magic just happen and things magically work out, she makes mistakes and you see her learn from them because of the loving patience and help of her step family. Ashley need to make these mistakes in order for her to learn and for her to see that her family love her no matter what she does. It's not a love she has to earn or just beautiful and get. I love this. Also, I love the stepmother. Mildred is wonderful. This kind of story needs to be serialized into anime. I also love how instead of the story always talking about how ugly the sisters are. You see that they're really not ugly. They're not! They're not even playing! You see their beauty molded into their strength and character. They didn't become beautiful because of some magic fairy. They became beautiful because of their character and strength as they're growing. I love that. I love that the story doesn't keep painting them as plain or whatever. We're dismissing them as background characters for Ashley to Glow. Instead, each of are developing. Why aren't there more stories like this?
