IMO the point of this manwha isn't to laugh or have fun seeing the MC struggle. The times you laugh is when Hooni and his friends are being literal dumbasses. Like the lewd drawing part....... heh
But I think the point is to being awareness to the bullying and cutting issues. See how interviening in someone's life can change them for the better. See how being indecisive qhen it fomes to wanting to be in someone's life can ruin them. See the harnful internet cultures and how it exploits and influences people. The Comedy tag is for specific chapters. Tags are not uniform across manga or manwha, and anyone who expect that really should amend their stereotypes and expectations.
I agree with you on here... I never got the vibe that the author was making hooni's suicidal thoughts and actions as something funny... rather, he's being portrayed as someone who the readers will root for to succeed in life and badly want him to get out of the suicidal habit and develop his character through the help of his friends (& other people who care for him) -- thus the comedy genre wherein the author tries to cheer us up with light situations that make hooni a happier person
I admit I was also very triggered during the first few chapters, I almost dropped it... but I kept on reading and I came to love the story
I know someone (a classmate, few of my students, and a relative, all girls) who killed themselves for various reasons that somehow piled up and well, it got to stifling for them and killed themselves. This manhwa, in my opinion, is too much to some like me. I CANNOT and will NEVER laugh at suicidal thoughts and such. Don't get me wrong tho, I know what I'm reading and authornim warned from the very beginning. If you are like me, who never even laugh from chapter 1, hang in there bud. Ch26 I assure you, that heaviness in your heart will vanish. This took long enough but I think the author somehow made this a lot better. Yes, it took 26 chapters for a development to happen for our lil boy finally willingly acted on his own for the better. Idk, I'm tired from work and all that sht but seeing ch26 I feel happy. So yeah, I'll finish this. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
