The art is so pretty in this webtoon and I love Yustaf and Ran's careful circling dynamics.
People keep saying step-siblings are still siblings but honestly, they don't have that vibe or connection and even in the dialogue they don't consider each other siblings, they call each other sibling titles because that's the socially correct way to address each other.
They don't act like siblings at all, and it's to the point where all their staff is aware of their dynamics and acts accordingly. Yustaf has been taking liberties with her person for a while now, touching her face, combing his fingers through her hair, and touching her waist; and Ran hasn't stopped him ever. We also get subtle mind bubbles from the staff that this isn't sibling behavior.
I appreciate the slow dynamic shift. Ran has recently realized that Yustaf is fast growing out of being a boy. I would say that Yustaf is getting progressively more possessive but he's always been of mind that Ran is "his" in some way. I'm still hoping that he finds a way to squish the Crown Prince like a bug.
I totally agree with you. I never saw them as siblings as they have different parents and they barely spent any time together in their childhood, but I love that you gave a great explanation.
