She’s not planning on ‘ruining the empire’ I believe. She’s just trying to get revenge on the emperor since he turned her into a sword and caused her so much pain and misery. I mean in the story you can see she’s not trying to make the empire fall apart, rather she’s making the prince into a tyrant to kill the king and take over the empire. In the comment below yours, one of the answers says that when he takes over he doesn’t kill any innocent people. In the story, I don’t think Charlize wants to kill any innocent people either, she just wants revenge against the king and people who tortured her.
