I think they mentioned how weaker noble families sell their daughters to the Agriche family. She didn't exactly marry willingly.
But like how is she still alive???? Did the other wives just not care? She's treated so well. Is it becuz she is Roxie's mom? It's the most puzzling thing to me.
It was mentioned in other chapters that she still gets bullied by other wives so I'm guessing maybe the found her reactions really funny at first or thought she was too insignificant to deal with. When roxie grew up and became her dads favourite they couldn't off her mum without roxie getting mad.
it was because the other wives are interested to her in such ways, like how dion's mom even find her presence good or entertaining (not sure about the right word) because she's too normal compared to them. she gives off this soft and affectionate aura which is kinda different, so instead of bullying her or whatsoever, they took special interest

Like it seems like the Agriche wouldn't take in anyone useless. Like everyone part of the clan gotta know some sort of trade. But Roxie's mom is just.... too normal or soft by what we've seen so far.
I've thought about this so much that in my mind she's the actual master villain. She's just pretending to be useless. She might be useless physically but she's the greatest manipulator of all time. Like that's the only thing that makes sense to me.
How else is this lady still alive???? Lant kills even his children. How has he not killed this lady yet?????????????????
