I really pity Sophia. She really loved Vanessa. She left the palace with her, watched her die and then she was forced to take her place. There are so many evil stepmothers who would adore that. I keep imagining all those super loyal maids/lady’s in waiting in other stories having to take their Lady’s place. They would be so f*cked up.
