to be fair, he already did experience some pain. he clearly suffered from his dreams and regretted the way he handled the rejection back then. I'm just glad he finally talked about that tbh
and yeah we all know he's gonna realize his feelings later and then come crawling back to Kang Joon but damn, his feelings are valid too. Right now he thinks he feels no attraction to Kang Joon and therefore rejected him. At least he's not leading him on anymore
