Maybe you're reading too fast? What happened at that scene was that as he hugged her he killed the people who came in with her and where standing behind her
Her reaction was something between horror and shock she couldn't look behind her because she knew there would be corpses and that at any wrong movement she also would die
i'm confused with some parts? Uhm i think the pacing was fast and there's a lot of parts they skipped to draw. The dialogue are also lacking so it's really confusing.
Also, i actually thought he stabbed her when they hugged based on her reaction and the drawing so i was so confused when they separated and after some panels the maids died? Like huhhh? What happened....
I will still give this a chance tho since i like the art and maybe it will get interesting in the coming chapters
