I saw someone post something previously on how Dion wants that feeling of affection roxanna had for her deceased brother. And tbh it kind of makes sense. Dion doesn't know how to properly express emotions of love due to the environment he grew up in. His mom also seems to hate him so he wants to receive affection but he doesn't know what that's supposed to look like. So he resorts by tormenting roxanna yet also trying to please her, which is the only way he knows how. And the part where he wants her to cry is most likely wanting her to cry over him since he views that as maybe the ultimate form of affection.
Oh, that actually makes a lot of sense. I had interpreting it as Dion looking for Roxana's 'feelings' , not only her affection. Because his father uses him, his mother doesn't care about him, and the rest of his siblings don't care either. But Roxana is the only one who has shown him 'emotions'. Like the time she was grieving for her brother or the hate she has for him.
Anyway, it makes sense since, in the last chapter Dion appeared, Roxana said something like it would have been easier if he felt sexual desaire for her (I understood it that way but maybe I'm wrong bcs English isn't my native language) because looking for her affection and wanting to have her, was something stupid and pitiful.
I actually intepreted it like that too. I think Roxanna has a fear of being loved by others most likely due to her past experiences. She purposefully distances herself from a lot of people including the ML, her mother and Jeremy. Ofc she hates Dion for killing the only person she felt she could rely on and love back, but she also knows and feels burdened by his emotions. Also, the part abt his dad using him could probably explain why he's trying to please Roxanna so much.

No but, I'm actually confused about Dion's and Roxana relationship. She hates him but he became her dog who does every job she gives him and even kept quiet about Cassis' getaway, so why is he doing that? What are his feelings for Roxana?
