I feel the same but she will aways have the regret of not taking care of her son while he was yonger. She gets to grow and patch up the past I hope the whole family can be glued back with love and honesty

From what I remember I was told that they do get devorced and her son comes with her. Then her brother dies and then her ex husband dies (sorry I forget names) but his last wish is to see her.
