I am bi and I would still feel betrayed. It would be acceptable if they had no choice like a fantasy gender bender situation or trying to hide identity to survive (though that won't happen irl) I would still be hurt and need some time (or break up even) （￣へ￣）
I think this is a cute plot for a comic, but the idea of not telling someone your gender for years still makes me kind of uncomfortable. If my lover turned out to be a guy I would feel so betrayed. I guess if I loved him very very much, we could still make it work, but our sex lives would never be able to be 'normal' since I am not into men at all and I can't imagine how that would work then.
