@sagahala "according to the spoilers i read: he never brought in a mistress, his wife and kid's life was held against him if he didn't allow his father in law to bring her in, they also sent him to war with the same threat, and when he came back his wife was already dying." if this is indeed true then that leads me to believe that he has memories of the past as well and since the duchess is opening herself up more he sees this as an opportunity to get close to her and fall in love you know. Elle might be a baby but for some reason i have this feeling that's telling me that Elle was the one who made the second life possible since he and his mother are loved by nature. so far i dont really hate the ML because he didn't do anything as bad as other stories i read so far other than have her child taken from her which is in no way agreeable in my opinion but other than that i think that he may have done it to protect her and even have known her when she was younger but she may have forgotten because of the trauma she had soffered.
