I sort of agree with you in that illegal sites bring readers but it's more about the respect for the author's work like you said in the second part of your response. It must feel very demeaning to put over 60 hours of work into a chapter only for someone to screenshot it and upload somewhere else and that's usually how I view this site. I do think more of the respectable users on this site purchase from lezhin and tappytoon themselves tho so at least there's that I guess
Can someone please tell me what happened to the author? Why is she getting suicidal thoughts? Did people threaten her? That's so bad.
yeah, i totally understand their situation, knowing that it’s not a stable job yet. The fact that they still do it cos they’re passionated, that’s the reason why we should support them by buying on the legal sites. I’m not against people who upload here (cos when i was younger i was reading for free as well) nor am i encouraging people do it mostly if the author’s is really against illegal uploads. I was just trying to say that sites like this one also have some “good side” xD.
I don’t know the whole situation but one of the reason is becos people upload the BL here as soon as it comes out on Lezhin. It’s a loss because even those who can buy the chaps on lezhin don’t do it cos they can read immediately here. They don’t have to wait...
I’m going to get insulted but in my case i buy it on Lezhin but before reading on the legal site i read the first 2/3 chapters that were posted here. And becos i really enjoyed it i decided to read on the legal site. As i do with many of the Bls here. And i come here so i can share my thoughts and interact my fellow readers, thing i can’t on lezhin/tappytoon etc. So honestly i think that illegal sites also bring readers to the legal sites.
But we should respect the author’s choice and don’t be stubborn. I hope she gets better soon and won’t drop this. As for me i’ll continue to read it on lezhin cos it’s such a good story omgg and she should be thanked and supported for her work ! I really encourage people who can afford to buy on the legal sites to do it ! ♡
