While I do agree that unlike Ariel, she's genuine despite having similarities with her. She isn't doing things for the sake of collecting her harem so that makes her a lot better when compared to heroine . She doesn't take actions with motive in mind( assuming that Ariel might be someone who acts kind and cute because it feels good for her when attention is all over her) and does care despite being a sucker for good looks, but i don't agree that she have common sense.

How did you know that ariel didn't care abt the mls?, just because litia is the mc doesn' mean you should only look at the mc's side, you should look at other's side too. Not just the mc's,

people are probably hating mc because she's exactly like the fiancee. Dense and unaware. She wanted to prevent the Mls from falling for ariel and facing the tragedy but isn't she just replacing Ariel's role? Like instead of ariel, Mls fall for her which still causes them heartbreaks later on. The only exception was, male leads won't face the same tragic fate unless the prince ended up falling for her too. Basically it's kinda hypocrite and the only thing that keeps the story is the art and reverse harem fan service. It wouldve been great if the male leads didn't fall for her and just retained their wholesome friendship relationship but yeah, opposite gender friends rarely exists in shoujo manga, authors really have to make everyone fall for the same gurl.
she's like Ariel 2.0, leading on the MLs because she's kind, cute and pitiful. I know it's not like she's oblivious on purpose but y"know, that's exactly why it's annoying. People should be aware of their boundaries and stop being touchy feely smiley sparkly if they have no intention of having interest with someone. and She isn't really doing anything significat imo and the affection she receives rooted on Mls pity for her which is kinda icky if you ask me.
